Africa Capital Partners Incorporated was founded in 2006 as a private investment firm. It now concentrates its capital placements in the emerging markets, mainly East Africa,* where founding members have many years of investment experience. ACP plans to purchase and take majority or significant stakes in companies whose characteristics meet a strict Opportunity Selection Matrix, including:

• Companies that exhibit consistent and attractive regional expansion trends, or potential.
• Companies that are leaders in their respective sectors and have unique competitive advantages but lack full resource muscle to enable them attain their optimal profit potentials.
• Public companies that are being taken private, via some capital buyout structure.
• Government-owned Companies that have good fundamental market prospects and need to be taken public.

*The East African Community, ACP's current focus, is now a five-state, 120 million strong population with a combined Gross Domestic Product of over $41 billion, fine-tuning a single customs union and fast tracking to a political federation. A formidable economic take-off is in the offing here.
